The Quality Auditor conducts audits to evaluate and provide a review of the quality of a claim file based on Quality Audit guidelines. Audits are performed on all Disability product lines (STD, LTD, and FMLA.) Major Duties and Functions Include: Conduct audits of disability products (LTD, STD, and FMLA) to determine if the claim file management is compliant with MetLife’s established internal processes and procedures Contribute to development of new and updated quality processes for continuous improvement Embrace and promote change initiatives, maintains a positive attitude and responds promptly and calmly to change Maintain a high level of integrity Maintain excellent relationships with customers, and represents QA operations and goals in a positive manner Participate in all operational and departmental partnership efforts What You Need to Succeed: A minimum of 2-years disability claim experience (STD or LTD) Proficiency in Disability claims systems (Intellis, SIR, UIS) Solid business knowledge of current Disability products, in addition to Workers’ Compensation, State laws, ERISA, Tax laws, ADA, Rehabilitation Social Security and Special Investigation processes Proficient in the main product lines and remains current on MetLife disability products, processes & procedures Knowledge of medical procedures and terminology Ability to read, interpret and explain contracts and disability plans Excellent analytical, critical thinking & troubleshooting skills Ability to communicate in concise, accurate & understandable terms Strong organizational & planning skills (maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date files within department standards & guidelines) Ability to manage time & handle multiple activities Maintain positive attitude, respond promptly and calmly to changing events, and conflict resolutions Committed to preserving confidentiality in all aspects of quality assurance activities Flexibility to adapt to change in a dynamic environment Projects an attitude of service, empathy & understanding to all customers Ability to work independently and as a team member Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet.
