Real Estate Finanical Analyst

Real Estate Financial Analyst

 

Develops and coordinates financial activities associated with corporate real estate on an enterprise-wide basis.  Develops and oversees the financial process relative to capital planning and the development of capital and expense budgets for all facilities as they pertain to building construction, renovation and/or property maintenance. Oversees the financial process relative to capital planning.  Develops financial tools to analyze proposals for the acquisition and/or disposal of corporate real estate.  Represents ACG at various public media and government forums relative to corporate real estate.  Participates in the development and maintenance of the financial policies and procedures for Real Estate Services.

 

Required:

· Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.  Master’s degree preferred.

 

Extensive experience in:

· Planning, budgeting and various analysis in a real estate environment

 

Experience in/with:

· All aspects of planning, budgeting and variance analysis for a large real estate department

· High level financial analysis for all types of real estate transactions, including net present value, capitalization rates, return on investment, net operating income, discount rates, etc.

· Training others in the use of sophisticated financial models

· Managing the capital project approval process

· Providing financial controls for control of projects, including cost analysis and prioritization

· Managing a large portfolio of corporate real estate assets

· Participating in development of strategies to address the real estate needs of the business

· Financial Pro-form as for real estate transactions

· Buy versus lease analysis

 

Knowledge of:

· Basic building operations and costs

· Real estate investment strategies

· Real estate processes

· Construction and renovation costs

· Architecture and engineering costs

· Project management and construction processes

· Analytical abilities to include problem analysis, problem solving, decision making, and budgeting

 

Ability to:

· Think creatively regarding real estate financing solutions that support the goals of the business

· Prepare and effectively present proposals to all levels of management

· Communicate effectively with others in a work environment and with the public

· Work under pressure to meet deadlines

· Proven financial and portfolio management skills in real estate.

· Written communication skills to include report and proposal preparation.  (a writing sample may be required at time of interview).
