Job Title:  Regional Policy Typist

 

Department:   Centralized Policy Department

 

Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

 

Classification:  Non-Exempt

 

Job Overview:  Supports the Policy Department by reviewing and

preparing title insurance policies

 

Reports to: Regional Policy Administrator

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

¨  Assist the Policy department by handling customer service calls.

¨  Review all policy packages submitted by closing offices to determine if all requirements have been met

¨  Check documents drawn for errors and correct county filing

¨  Check survey against commitment for encroachments, protrusions, and changes in easements, shown or not shown on commitment

¨  Check policy request sheets for accuracy on insureds, legals, tax information, rate rules, premiums, date of policy, amount of insurance, loan type and any special instructions

¨  Verify that proper closing forms are utilized

¨  Prepare and proof title insurance policies for all assigned offices

¨  Assist closing offices with policy procedure questions, rate rules, premium calculations and any matters concerning policy issuance

¨  Direct any questions or problems which can not be resolved by the department to the Legal Department

¨  Order and maintain all policy jackets, inserts and other insuring forms

¨  Perform other duties as assigned by Associate Region Manager

Experience and Educational Requirements:

¨  High school diploma or equivalent
