Research Analyst ( Predictive Modeling Specialist)

We currently have an opportunity available for a Predictive Modeling Specialist (Research Analyst) to join our team in Canton, MA
location.

The role of the Predictive Modeling Specialist is responsible for advancing the company’s Predictive Modeling function for all business units through research analysis, monitoring, delivery of findings and recommendations, and implementation support.

Primary Responsibilities:
-Perform research analysis and communication of findings/recommendation t0 management. 

-Design, implement and enhance monitoring tools for Predictive Modeling results.

-Monitor trends in modeling characteristics to determine effectiveness of current approach and find potential future enhancements. 
-Automate and document regular reports.

-Interact with product managers, actuaries and underwriters to improve models.

-Be a major contributor in building the next generation models. 

-Write/Communicate project specifications or changes to IT and provide technical assistance when needed. 

-Work with BIS and IT on changes made to data architecture, warehouse tables, and cubes (influence, provide expertise)

-Assist with training needs related to modeling, including fielding questions, researching issues and developing solutions.

Requirements:
Education background in mathematics or statistics required.  Advanced education in Statistics or quantitative research-related field (Masters or PhD) preferred.
Ability and experience in writing code in a common statistical programming language (examples:  SAS, S/ S+/ R, SPSS, and/or C++/ ROOT).
Knowledge and experience with data management systems. Excellent communication abilities (written and verbal).  Proven ability to manage and complete multiple projects on time, with high customer satisfaction. Prior work experience (2-4 years in fields of Finance, modeling, insurance, economics, research, marketing, or management consulting) preferred.
Experience with quality and process analysis (Six Sigma training and certification) preferred.
