Retention Specialist - Sales

Primary Function

Provide consultative services to both agents and non agent clients 45-60 days prior to renewal of a case. Responsibilities include

· Effectively renew the case by positioning the product and accurately and effectively describing benefits, available options and cost. 

· Taking inbound calls, making outbound calls,

· Obtain all retention goals,

· Produce quotes that meet customer needs,

· Accurately describe benefits and features for all product lines,

· Document system to ensure proper tracking and accountability..

 

 

Minimum Education & ExperienceHS or GED. College Degree preferred.1-3 years experience in related field. Preferred Life and Health Insurance License.

 

 

Expertise Symptoms and facts may be incomplete, but the existence of a problem is apparent.  Gaps must be filled by further inquiry, which is generally confined to related work areas.

 

 

Accountability and SupervisionTasks which are generally informational, but which involve the incumbent in the analysis and/or decision-making resulting from the data itself.  Errors may not be obvious and may not be detected before substantial costs or time delays in the primary department activities were incurredMay be accountable for work of others. Minimal supervision required. Responsible for recommendations that may impact significant dollar implications with a subtle loss of customer or other key external agencies.Provides guidance and training on information and/or services.  Decisions and actions may have a direct impact on the performance or staff function objectives. Considerable discretion as to work details. Responsible for timely project completion.

 

 

Job Knowledge Requires understanding and ability to apply basic employment skills.  Activities limited in scope and complexity with minimal knowledge of other operations beyond the immediate task or operation.  Acceptable job performance normally attained in a short period of time.

Computer Operations

¨  Strong computer knowledge. Familiar with Microsoft Office.

¨  Proficient in letter writing skills and knowledge of excel.

 

 Required work hours: 9:00am to 6:00pm Monday thru Friday.
