Basic Function: In this position, you will be responsible for a Technical role within a team environment to define, design, construct, test, implement and support insurance information processes within the Client Integration Team environment. You must be a team-oriented individual willing to lead projects as assigned and participate in projects as a technical resource. You will interface with internal business resources and our external customers, as well as, other functional areas of the organization, both internal and external to the Information Systems Department.Qualifications - Education:Required: - College Degree or equivalent work experience.Desired: - College Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field.Qualifications - Work Experience:Required: - 3 or more years of experience performing systems analysis, design, construction and implementation of insurance applications.Desired: - Knowledge of Property & Casualty Reinsurance business. Qualifications - Technical Skills:Required: - Demonstrated proficiency within an IBM Mainframe environment. COBOL, JCL and use of mainframe utilities a must. Desired: - In addition to IBM Mainframe experience, experience with Microsoft server-based environment using SQL/Server database. CICS programming experience. Qualifications - Non-Technical Skills:Required: - Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Project management exposure.Desired: - Project Management experience. Qualifications - Other:Required: - Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently without close supervision. Able to recognize and resolve production support issues. Communicate with business people using business terminology.Desired: - Experience with IBM's Quality Stage software (previously known as Assential or Vality) a plus. Experience with .NET development a plus. Experience with MS Access a plus.
