Data Warehouse Developer

Summary:

This position is responsible for Data Warehouse design, development, and support activities, including the construction of ETL from various Company source systems to the Data Warehouse.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Analyze business requirements and produce technical specifications, detailed testing plans, testing conditions/expected results, and detailed implementation plans for requested activities Develop and support ETL solutions for population of the Data Warehouse Create ad hoc reports as needed Provide end user support, as required, for Data Warehouse cubes and reports Develop and establish strong and effective working relationships with each of the Company business units Travel as required

Qualifications:

RequiredStrong proficiency in SQL Server 2000 or 2005 and general database skills Experience designing and building ETL solutions, specifically with Microsoft SSIS or DTS Experience building reporting applications Software development lifecycle experience Very strong problem solving and analytical skills and is a systematic thinker. Communication and interpersonal skills Team player Customer focused

DesiredExperience with Microsoft Access Experience with SSAS cubes and SSRS reports Insurance or Reinsurance experience and knowledge with an understanding of the terminology, business functions and processes. Knowledge/experience in logical and physical data modeling
