This is a great opportunity to work for a respected insurance brokerage firm that is dedicated to your success and will provide you with the support needed to surpass your previous achievements. IBP works with all industries and has the internal support to effectively service these clients.
As a Sales Associate your primary responsibility is to ascertain a potential company’s interest in obtaining benefit services from IBP. The method and demeanor with which this is accomplished, almost always determines the success of the call or whether future calls will result in a sales meeting for the Company; consequently, it is essential that the Sales Associate be friendly, professional, and respectful at all times, as they are representing Innovative Benefit Planning, its staff and service levels. In addition, the Sales Associate must be extremely organized, an avid ad-libber on the telephone, and capable of making independent decisions in order to perform this job successfully.
As a Sales Associate you will also be responsible for building relationships and turning prospects into clients of IBP. Your insurance license and continuing education will be fully supported by IBP.
The Successful Candidates will:
Identify potential IBP prospects through business to business and marketing phone calls (includes both cold calls and referral contacts).Update prospect database with responses & mined data from marketing calls.Schedule prospecting appointments by phone and in calendar software.Work closely with prospects to assess their needs and interface with internal IBP staff to market lines of insurance.Effectively educate prospects on solutions to achieve their benefit goals and objectives.Generate future business.
Skills & Qualifications: Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.Prior networking experience.Be able to present information to prospects via phone and in person.Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.The desire to exceed sales goals.Some travel required for networking and prospect meetings.
Compensation and Benefits: Salary is commensurate with experience and proven track record of successes. We also offer an attractive benefit package including Medical, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, 401k Plan, Paid Holidays, and Paid Vacations.
