Sales Compensation Payment Specialist

Major Duties and Functions Include: Process and update Commission/Agent information within MetLife proprietary systems. Responsible for providing customer service through limited phone contact and email to agents, field office and internal customers on a daily basis. Receives and responds to inquires from the field and broker/dealers regarding commission payments. Reconciles discrepancies to locate missing payments and/or locates errors. Researches, determines, calculates, and processes necessary adjustments. Prioritize daily workload to ensure a specified turnaround time objective is maintained. Calculates, adjusts and processes compensation commission payments for field/sales and Broker/Dealers in an accurate and timely fashion. Reconciles simple to moderately complex compensation discrepancies. Tracks work within the department. Research and resolve contract inquiries and discrepancies with agents. What You Need to Succeed: High School Diploma Associates Degree or equivalent work experience Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills Ability to multi-task Strong organizational skill Team Player willing to follow established procedures. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and prioritize tasks to manage time effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adaptable/flexible, detail and quality oriented. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work in a team environment. Good PC skills including Lotus Notes, Word and Excel. Possess or acquire a general understanding of commission payments, agent contracts and terminology. Ability to handle large volume of diverse work and determine appropriate action. Good troubleshooting and research skills. Ability to produce high volume of error-free work Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet.
