POSITION SUMMARY:
This leadership position will be responsible for effectively managing employees, supervising projects and maximizing the productivity and work quality of the sales team while maintaining acceptable levels of expenses.
This Supervisor will be responsible for the Small Business sales team, as well as the Outbound IFP sales team.
The Sales Supervisor will work closely with enrollment, engineering, carrier relations, and product management teams to determine sales strategies, create campaigns, manage campaigns, and analyze campaign results to achieve certain sales and operational metrics.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
80% OF TIME
Develop and execute the appropriate sales strategies to drive team results that consistently exceed sales goals.
Create outbound campaigns, manage the campaigns, and analyze results of the campaigns.
Assist in the management of the daily sales activities of the sales team.
Assist in developing the sales representative’s skills through varying coaching methods.
Work with the management team to train and equip the sales team to help individuals and families understand their insurance needs and match them with the right products and services available to eHealthInsurance Services, Inc.
Supervise and develop sales representatives by coaching, training, motivating, and empowering the sales team.
Support the development of programs to achieve closing ratio expectations of the business plan to meet and exceed corporate objectives.
Initiate new calling campaigns by pulling the data and managing the campaign in the predictive dialer. Ensure that the dialer meets all state compliance measures in terms of abandoned calls.
Ensure customer care center service levels and metrics are achieved and maintained.
Maintain work shifts, and schedules to meet the needs of customers, partners and affiliates.
OTHER POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 20% OF TIME
Provide back-up assistance to the sales representatives by phone, chat or emails as needed. Standard will be 10-20% of daily activity directly with customers.
Create and submit sales reports as needed.
Assist in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures for the sales department.
Work closely as a team player with all other call center departments to achieve short and long-term goals.
Meet all other standards established by the Sales Director.
MINIMUM/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5+ years industry experience in a broker or insurance company sales environment with a successful track record of goal achievement.
Proven experience coaching and developing employees.
Knowledge of Human Resources issues and proven application of HR policies.
Excellent decision making and analytical capabilities.
Excellent knowledge of health products, health insurance procurement process, member services and enrollment..
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess CA Life Agent License
BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or related field of study
