Selling CSR

To assist in the production of new and the retention of renewal accounts in keeping with agency and individual Producer goals.  Provides field service to designated accounts in support of Producer activities and maintains high service standards.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Generates new accounts through use of strong and persuasive selling skills Creates network to aid in generating new leads and referrals  Prepare new applications with underwriting acceptability for insurance company program, completion and accuracy. Actively solicits increases in coverage or rounding out accounts through sales to clients at every service contact. Maintain customer’s account on agency automation system, documenting conversations in notes, sending confirmations to insured and adhering to all other automation procedures that are/become established. Explains coverage and exclusions to clients. Actively seeks referrals from current client base to solicit for new business prospects; follows up to generate new business using prospect database and system. Receives phone calls and office visitors requesting quotes, changes to existing coverage and/or new policies.  Determines acceptability and placement, completes applications or endorsements and collects premium when applicable. Reviews existing accounts to determine if additional lines of insurance should be solicited and does so by mail and phone. To perform special projects at the request of designated clients. Maintain a concern for timeliness and completeness when interacting with customers, agency and company personnel to minimize potential for error or omission claims. Receive phone calls from clients and companies, complies with requests and keeps Producer informed of client activities.

 

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

A college degree or equivalent is desirable and must have all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to sell insurance.  Prior sales experience is preferred.
