Senior AIX Administrator

Columbian Mutual Life Insurance Company is a growing mutual life insurer with a national presence, headquartered in Binghamton, NY with a 125-year heritage which prides itself on strong financial performance.  This position will be filled in either Binghamton, NY or Norcross, GA.

 

We are looking for a self-motivated individual seeking an opportunity to participate in the implementation of a state-of-the-art life insurance policy administration system.  Successful candidate will be responsible for multiple AIX & UNIX systems.  Installation & configuration of hardware and software, monitoring, troubleshooting problems, backup & recovery, security administration, and production support.  Qualifications include:

 

·  Bachelor’s degree and 5 yrs AIX experience, or equivalent experience

·  Experience with TSM, DB2, Domino, Vignette IDM, WebSphere, Application servers, IBM SANs, pSeries hardware, networking architecture, & multi-location system management strongly preferred 

·  Insurance industry experience preferred

·  Availability for off-hours coverage as needed
