HighlightsAIG Job ID: A&H-Snr Clm Rep Occ AccPosition Type: Not IndicatedLocation: KS-Overland ParkRelocation: NoRequirementsEducation: BachelorsExperience: 3-5 yearsDescription: The primary responsibilities include adjusting Occupational Accident disability claims by investigating assigned claims, evaluating claim exposure to establish reserves, managing the indemnity, medical and legal aspects of assigned claims, controlling medical treatment and coordinating independent medical evaluations where appropriate. Effectively train and coach Claim Representatives on technical handling matters and act as a mentor to staff members regarding technical issues. The incumbent will also be responsible for documenting file activity on a timely basis, continually assess all aspects of the claim file, accurately detail significant events and outstanding issues, and develop resolution strategy plans to achieve appropriate claim results and timely closure. There will be constant interaction with insured, claimant and/or claimant’s attorney as needed to direct negotiations and achieve settlement. Other duties, as assigned may also be required.The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years experience in handling occupational accident or claims adjusting. Excellent analytical, communication and customer service skills are required. A working knowledge of insurance principles with specialized training in handling occupational accident claims and experience with Microsoft Office Applications, to include Word and Excel is required.
