Our client is a well established and respected medium to large sized retail insurance brokerage firm with a strong presence in the New York insurance marketplace. Established in 1861 and currently with four offices in New York State they have become one of the premier brokers of property & casualty,  life & health insurance products in the New York area. They are in need of a Claims Manager to work in their Nassau County LI office The  manager will be responsible for representing their clients and carriers in the professional manner they have become known for throughout the industry. Duties will include supervision of two Claims Representatives in their daily activities of everything from taking first reports to assisting clients in the submission and negotiation of prompt claims resolution. Claims will consist of all linesProperty and Casualty insurance to include Ocean and Inland Marine. The Manager will also be required to conduct meetings outside of the office with both clients and carrier representatives. The position requires a working knowledge of an agency management software and excellent communication skills both oral and written.



Requirements


NY State Brokers license preferred

5+ years Brokerage claims background

Knowledge of an agency management software

College Degree preferred
