Senior IT Business Analyst Are you looking for a challenging Business Analyst role to use your requirements analysis skills? Safeco's Claims Systems Department has an immediate opening for an IT Business Analyst to join our team supporting Safeco's insurance products. This position will be based in our Seattle office. Summary: Be a part of the Claims Systems team eliciting, analyzing and defining systems requirements for client applications. Solid knowledge of Business Analysis, methods and tools Strong data analysis skills Responsibilities: Effectively elicit, define and specify systems requirements and business rules for the applications supporting the claims system. Work closely with the team leads and aligned business partners to provide estimates as well as technical systems consulting for requested enhancements and new products. Collaborate with programming and quality assurance team members to meet customer expectations by identifying the most efficient, reliable, scalable solutions that can be rapidly implemented. Interact with many different areas of the company. Work with diverse set of development staff onshore and offshore. Qualifications: 1-3+ years of experience in a related position. Proficiency in foundational business analysis skills, including leading requirements elicitation activities (JAD sessions), process modeling, and specification of functional systems requirements (SRS, Use Cases, XP stories). Effectively communicate w/ higher level business customers. Experience working on multiple small projects and baseline support activities. Experience working with business customers on developing requirements. Proven analytical skills and a strong technical aptitude. Strong team attitude. Strong leadership skills demonstrating innovation, collaboration, accountability, and a drive for excellence. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to take appropriate level of risk. Experience working in an iterative (Agile/XP/RUP) development methodology environment a plus.
