Senior Production Underwriter, Manager

Our client is a reputable managing general agency and wholesale brokerage with specialty niche programs and strong ties to the Southeastern retail agency network.  Their brokerage and binding contract divisions offer competitive pricing and timely service utilizing quick quote technology with expertise in restaurants, taverns, garage/auto repair, transportation, manufacturing, and habitation.  They seek an experienced production underwriter with wholesale brokerage or E&S experience for their Tampa, FL office.  Additionally this role will involve office management like employee development, agency marketing, and P&L responsibilities.

 

As Senior UnderwriterYou'll be responsible for setting and achieving annual production goals in the company's core areasYou'll open doors for additional production through relationship management with new and existing retail agentsConversely you'll also represent our client by negotiating with competitive markets and being active in industry associationsYour role calls for the training of staff on sound underwriting practices, setting production goals and mentoring on marketing management



Senior Underwriter, Manager Qualifications7-10 years of underwriting experience with an emphasis on E&S exposures specifically in FloridaKnowledge of the E&S market and the wholesale brokerage businessStrong team building skills with the ability to build a profitable book of business, train a staff, and work with multiple disciplines in other locations
