Senior QA Tester

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development, deployment and maintenance of all automated test scripts related to the LifePRO system. Some of the responsibilities include:7 Design, implement and execute automated test cases and scenarios based on functional and system specifications using modern testing techniques and automated frameworks.7 Define, design and develop software test systems that continually enhance the testing process.7 Participate in software development and automated testing process improvement activities. 7 Maintain the automation test lab (automation tools, automated test cases, computers)7 Report testing results based on already defined metrics and using standard reporting tools.7 Oversee and participate in the planning, development, execution, and maintenance of automated test suites to assure the quality of the LifePRO application. 7 Assure that automation processes are adhered to at all stages of the project life cycle.7 Conduct status review meetings and provide feedback to management on project status.7 Provide guidance and mentoring to LifePRO testing analysts executing automation scripts.The candidate should have previous experience working in a test automation role and have experience scripting in VB, .Net, VBA or VB Script. The candidate should also have experience providing automation schedules and status reports for management.Requirements: ' Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to research, self-teach, and learn complex concepts quickly' Ability to review requirements and translate to appropriate test automation strategies.' Ability to deal with unresolved situations, frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.' Experience with modern testing methods and techniques. ' Four to five years of programming experience using UI testing tools such as QARun, Test Partner, and Quick Test Professional.' Two to three years of experience using Quality Center' Experience with SQL and relational database theory.' Experience coding in VB, .Net, VBA and VB Script.' Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT-related field.' Previous experience in Insurance industry - LifePRO system experience preferred.' Knowledge of automated testing tools such as Mercury WinRunner and LoadRunner preferred.'
