Senior Statistical Analyst

As a Senior Statistical Analyst, you will provide direction for the company through statistical modeling and analysis. Direct and coordinate analytic strategies. Provide guidance Data Analysts and Senior Statistical Data Analysts. May have supervisory responsibilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develops and monitors statistical models as well as market segmentation models.
2. Develops and tests programs for implementation of statistical models and validates the application of statistical models.
3. Monitors performance of statistical models and evaluates marketing efforts through slice reports and summary reports.
4. Directs and coordinates modeling and segmentation strategies.
5. Identifies and investigates new statistical technologies, list enhancement and database marketing opportunities which allow development of new profitability modeling and segmentation.
6. Designs methodologies to improve performance of the current models.
7. Develops and maintains computer programs and applies knowledge of programming techniques and various computer systems.
8. Performs complex test analyses on Marketing campaigns including use of Experimental Design.
9. Consults and coordinates, ensures alignment with the goals of Business Partner, and other AEGON Business Units.
10. Monitors activities and relationships with outside consultants and provides the technical interface with external statistical service providers.
11. Conducts presentations of technical topics so that non-technical people can understand them and represents the target marketing area with other groups.
12. Builds and maintains relationships with all areas of the company, external consultants, business partners, and service providers to ensure communication and achievement of target marketing objectives and results.
13. May provide leadership, motivate and perform management functions for employees who may report to the position, including selection, performance management, employee development, work assignment and prioritization, oversight/supervision, salary administration and communications.
14. Performs other duties as required

EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, or related analytical field. 
4+ years related work experience, which includes demonstrated strong analytical skills, and 4 years of SAS programming experience; demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal and forecasting skills. 
Demonstrated experience in using analytics to drive business initiatives.

Desired Requirements: 
Familiarity with insurance practices and principles. 
Master's degree in one of the following fields (Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing or Economics)
Presentation and Supervisory skills
