Duties also include generating new business revenues by developing prospects, visiting producers, and participating in direct presentations and negotiating programs. Providing primary communication and direction for all processing requirements including policy issuance instruction, endorsement requests, billing requirements and audit review. Must also evaluate reinsurance needs and coordinate as necessary within company and departmental guidelines.Requirements for this position include 5 to 10 years underwriting experience. Must have a working knowledge of the retail broker community and inland marine product line, as well as a track record of providing quality service to inland marine producers and clients consistent with established service standards. Ability to market and produce profitable new business, balanced between marketing and technical skills, also required. A particular expertise in the construction classes of the inland marine product line is preferred but not required. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple and complex tasks.
