Senior Underwriter - Ski & Destination Resort Programs

 

Willis Programs has a unique opportunity for a Senior Underwriter with a passion for the outdoors in our MountainGuard and ResortGuard Programs.  This exciting position will underwrite and price both new and renewal business for large commercial risks including ski resorts, destination resorts, and related recreational industries.  The Senior Underwriter provides superior customer service to independent agents and brokers submitting these specialty risks.  This is a superb opportunity for a dedicated, ambitious production-oriented underwriter interested in working with a dynamic team of professionals.  An avid skier is preferred.  For more information on other Willis Programs, visit us at http://www.willisprograms.com/.

 

Primary duties:

 Underwrites new and renewal ski resort and destination resort program business for acceptability: reviews applications, coverage’s, account history, claims and engineering reports. Gathers all supporting underwriting information; orders physical audits and inspection reports.Discusses pricing with agent, broker or Account Executive; quotes accounts within authority.Submits accounts above authority to company with detailed underwriting summary and suggested pricing; negotiates pricing with company; assembles quote.Responsible for coverage changes and policy form modifications: works in conjunction with company to provide modifications.Maintains premium and statistical information for monthly reports; maintains account logs for control of audits, letters of credit and any other outstanding items.Initiates and assists sales staff with new business development, when appropriate.
