Job ID: 17516 Posting Title: Senior Underwriting Specialist Working Location: New York, NY Employment Status: Full-Time Job Summary: As a member of this dynamic team, the ideal candidate for this position underwrites and analyzes new and renewal Corporate D&O and Fiduciary Liability business. He/she administers and monitors underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating manuals. Will work within broad limits and authority on highly complex assignments. He/she will be responsible for marketing Zurich's products and services through an agency or through the brokerage community and developing/maintaining these relationships. This position is responsible for the Northeast Region (Tri-state NY and Boston). Job Qualifications: 3-7 years of experience underwriting and analyzing Corporate D&O ideal but will also consider people with 3-7 years of experience underwriting private company D &O or brokers with D&O experience looking to move to the carrier side. Bachelors degree required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Strong negotiation skills and ability to assess risk required. Ability to multi-task and function in a team environment required. Must be PC literate.
