Small Group Employee Benefit Sales Consultant
The Employee Benefit Sales Consultant will help grow our Charleston area office by prospecting, qualifying and closing sales of Group Health, Dental, Disability, and Life products for new and existing customers with 10-50 employees. The Consultant will also identify and research prospective customers for all coverages available through existing relationships and establish relationships with prospective customers in-person or via phone communication to proactively recommend and sell products to meet clients' business needs.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to): Developing and achieving maximum sales volume by identifying and developing new prospects, working with the existing Account Management Teams and Commercial Insurance Division to cross-sell lines of business, coordinating ongoing service for existing accounts with the client management teams, and have the ability to develop rapport and build business relationships quickly and effectively.
Our Perfect Candidate Will Posses the Following: The E/B Sales Consultant will have a college degree or equivalent industry experience. A valid SC Life and Health license is required and other state licenses may be required. The successful candidate will also have 3 years proven outbound sales experience in employee benefits insurance. Professional insurance and financial service designations are a plus. Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills. Strong negotiation skills and willingness to aggressively seek new business. Valid Driver's license and individual must have reliable transportation. Excellent understanding of insurance and financial markets and related competitors.
