USAA is currently seeking a talented Software/Systems Engineer I for our San Antonio, TX facility. As a Software/Systems Engineer I for USAA, you will participate in the evaluation, development and implementation of internal or external business solutions that meet customer needs. Independently performs moderately complex to complex work assignments and problem resolution across systems, processes, or channels. Performs multiple team roles (team member, team co-leader) in the delivery of technical solutions. Job Duties: Acquires and applies intermediate knowledge of the business, its applications and processes. Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a routine nature. Coordinates with cross-functional team members to translate business requirements into specifications. Creates test plans. Gathers information, analyzes data trends, identifies root cause, and develops technical solutions. Supports and proactively contributes to continuous improvement initiatives within area of expertise, for assigned company/staff agency, and/or across enterprise. Within the systems or software development lifecycle, analyzes, designs, develops, tests, creates prototypes, debugs and implements new information technology systems or modifications to existing information technology systems. Qualified candidates need to possess: Bachelors degree in IT related field (or equivalent work experience). 4+ years relevant work experience in systems or development life cycle. Familiarity with relevant technical programming languages and/or technical systems. Preferred experience includes: Expert knowledge and experience installing, testing and providing infrastructure support for Cisco ICM and egain/CIM. Experience supporting an Outbound environment. Strongly prefer experience with Cisco CVP, Avaya 8700 PBX platform, Avaya Call Management System, Avaya Operational Analyst and Genesys framework including Outbound. The position includes an on-call rotation and some night and/or weekend work.
