Sourcing Manager

To provide the following services as related to clients of the American Financial Group (“Enterprise”): contract development, analysis, negotiation, execution, supplier relationship identification and management and strategic sourcing recognition.

Utilizing knowledge and expertise the position is responsible for the following:

Contract Development
o Includes development, analysis, negotiation and execution.
o Facilitate transition documentation for Program Management (if applicable).

Customer Relationship Management within Enterprise
o Build and strengthen both new and existing relationships within the Enterprise.

Strategic Sourcing Opportunity Identification
o Recognize and provide recommendations to management for both new and existing strategic sourcing opportunities for the Enterprise.

Supplier Relationship Identification
o Understand, research, interpret and address in a given timeframe the needs of our clients to proactively identify suppliers to meet their product and service needs.

Comprehensively document related project activity for reporting purposes.

Adheres to established process/procedural standards

Performs responsibilities with limited supervisory assistance.

o 5+ years of sourcing experience with purchasing product and service authority.
o College degree in business administration, information technology/systems or related field, or equivalent experience.
o Project management experience on small to medium sized projects. (Dollar Value greater than $100k)
o Working knowledge of RFP development, analysis and implementation process.
o Broad based commodity and market awareness.
o High work standards.
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Strong customer service orientation and ability to work in a team oriented environment.
o Good analytical and problem resolution skills.
o Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
o Understanding of concepts relative to strategic sourcing and enterprise agreements.
