Sr. Advanced Sales/Markets Consultant (Life Insurance)

Major Duties and Functions Include: Act as high level individual contributor subject matter expert. Provides advanced markets assistance on complex cases to IDG Regional Sales Vice Presidents and internal sales associates, and financial advisors and their internal resources within wirehouses, banks, independent brokerage firms, and independent insurance firms. Assistance to include point of sale with the client and their advisors as appropriate. Provide telephone based sales consulting to IDG producers on significant retirement, estate, or business cases involving MetLife life insurance. Designs, delivers, and evaluates marketing and training programs, seminars, and other materials related to advanced markets concepts. Conducts training, continuing education, and sales idea presentation on advanced markets topics for internal and external customers. Presents at the largest and most important meetings and conferences. Authors complex advanced markets related articles for publication in internal and external media, edits and critiques the materials of lower level personnel. Helps establish policy to properly position products in the advanced marketplace. Participate in and may lead special projects creating illustration template or marketing materials on advanced markets strategies. May act as project leader and provide guidance to junior level staff. Performs other duties as assigned or required. What You Need to Succeed: Juris Doctorate in law preferred. 8 + years of financial planning, advanced markets, or legal experience. Expert knowledge of retirement, business, and estate planning markets, concepts, and sales techniques. Expert knowledge life insurance. Advanced knowledge of legal documents and/or tax implications of advanced markets strategies. Competencies: analytical skills, interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and appearance, writing and public speaking, leadership skills, ability to influence others, project management skills.
