Sr. Communications Strategist - Executive Communications

Major Duties and Functions Include: The Sr. Marketing Communications Analyst will be required to assess the current state of the department's communication efforts and develop a strategic marketing and communication plan for delivering key messages to the right audience via the appropriate mediums. Additional duties and functions include: Propose, research, write, produce, and distribute a wide range of internal communications. Develop, design, execute, and evaluate internal & external communication initiatives. Consult with the business on appropriate media and communication methods to use to best reach the target audience. Working independently, propose, research, and write a wide range of moderate to complex communications. Provide guidance and advice on formulating key messages and the most effective methods and media. **PLEASE NOTE: Long Island City is the preferred location. However, work can also be performed from Somerset, NJ office. What You Need to Succeed: Relevant Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience required. 5+ years of Marketing Communications experience. Well developed and effective oral presentation skills. Experience interfacing with and/or presenting to senior level executives regarding communication initiatives. Proven and well developed verbal & written communication. Familiarity with writing for print and web. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, vendors and partners. Ability to develop and translate communication needs and objectives into an actionable marketing plan. Experience interfacing with creative professionals e.g. graphic designers. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Comprehensive analytical and research skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Experience with graphics programs and preparation of graphic presentations helpful Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet.
