Sr IT Project Manager Are you a seasoned Project Manager ready to help us move forward with mission critical, complex projects? Become a member of our PMO where we offer challenging work in a creative and rewarding environment. A Project Manager plans, directs, coordinates and budgets activities within a team of pooled resources. The ideal candidate is an experienced and passionate Project Manager that has successfully delivered complex, multi-team projects in both traditional and Agile development environments. The ability to balance formalized project management methods with time-to-market and quality needs is a must. Responsibilities: Provide subject matter expertise in project management such as project scope definition, risk identification/mitigation, estimation, project methodology execution, resource allocation, facilitation, project intervention, and other areas of expertise based on professional knowledge and background. Manage mission critical, complex projects (and/or Programs) to deliver results within the authorized budget on the approved time schedule with high quality standards. Execute projects in an ethical manner that is consistent with the PMO processes and in support of our core competencies. Develop detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans and status reports. Organize and manage all project resources to ensure effective and efficient utilization exists including employees, contractors and vendors. Contribute, in all areas, to the growth of a project management center of excellence. Exercise good judgment in analyzing, appraising, evaluating and solving problems of a difficult procedural, organizational, administrative or technical nature and do the right thing under stress and tight deadlines. Establish and maintain partnerships across IT and with Business management. Skillfully and appropriately manage expectations and negotiate deliverables with customers demonstrating flexibility and political astuteness. Act decisively and make sound and timely decisions in the face of uncertainty and with limited information Qualifications/Education: Seven to ten years of demonstrated ability to manage large complex cross-functional and cross-organizational projects, multiple medium sized projects concurrently, or a small program. Excellent written and verbal communication including ability to appropriately tailor messages to different levels of management/stakeholders accordingly. Hands-on experience with one or more established software development methodologies, preferably Agile or RUP Effectively manages pressure, not easily frustrated. Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude toward change and able to handle crises while maintaining composure. Works effectively in ambiguous situations. A proven track record effectively building and managing cross-functional teams. Clearly communicates roles and responsibilities to team members, fosters teamwork and shared ownership. o Ability to assess and apply alternate development and project methodologies as appropriate. Expert user in Project Management tools, proficient in Earned Value Analysis and Work Based Scheduling. Commitment to Project Management Development. Actively participates in the development and rollout of project management methodologies and best practices.
