Read on to learn about the requirements for this opening. Job Purpose: Provides advanced/specialized administrative assistance to a department, division or group of professionals. Assignments are broad in nature and work is performed under general supervision and requires the incumbent to exercise independent judgment related to assignments. May orient, train, assign and check the work of lower level employees. May be designated as "lead" worker. Major Duties: Performs advanced/specialized administrative or technical assignments. Conducts independent research, evaluates facts and prepares special reports under minimal guidance. Reviews reports regularly and responds to inquiries as required. Routinely applies rules and policies to decisions. Coordinates and schedules work activities and may schedule/administer calendars, make travel arrangements, arrange meetings, etc. Prepares complex documents determining type of information, general format, layout and stylistics. Operates PC and peripheral equipment as well as provides basic analytical or technical support. Required Education, Experience & Skills: High School Diploma with at least 3 years related experience. Strong computer skills Comprehensive knowledge of office software applications, including e-mail and the internet Excellent organizational skills & time management skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external personnel Highly skilled in multi-tasking Ability to use independent judgment and sound decision making skills Ability to work independently w/minimal management oversight Preferred Education, Experience & Skills: Administrative Legal experience strongly preferred.
