Sr. Pharmacy Contract Analyst

Responsibilities include:

Reviews and revises pharmacy contracts for retail, mail order, and specialty on behalf of FutureScripts with drug store chains. Includes negotiating rates and terms of contracts, as well as modifying contract when reviewed. Requests contract proposals from various vendors. Manages rebate contracts with gross yields of up to 20 million per contract. Performs financial analysis on contract offering and present financial models to Executive leadership and contract committee. Collaborates with Legal on the preparation of contracts. Builds essential contract parameters into a propriety rebate administrative system that is utilized to invoice vendors. Presents to the FutureScripts Executive leadership for approval; administers and reconciles contracts on behalf of FutureScripts.

 

Candidates need:

 Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience. Masters degree preferred. Minimum five years contracting experience with demonstrated negotiation skills resulting in significant cost savings, preferably in a health insurance environment. Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills required. Experience in pharmacy preferred, but not required. Excellent organization, presentation, analytical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Excellent PC skills, including MS suite/Excel and Access databases. Demonstrates an exceptional ability to manage complex provider negotiations and contract implementation.
