Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst

The successful candidate will be part of the Retirement Technology Group (RTG) in Deerfield.  The RTG's activities include the research & development, testing, maintenance, and support of global retirement related software.  Under general direction, the candidate will lead / supervise junior level quality assurance subject matter analysts. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead a team of quality assurance subject matter analysts who focus on verification of the correctness of the software calculations and functionality from a user’s point-of-view. Able to independently analyze specifications, develop and implement testing strategies, review test plans written and executed by the team Report conclusions on the quality of the software being tested and provide recommendations to senior management on the prioritization of further development activities. Clear, precise, analytical, and logical in problem solving approach. Ability to lead and work on multiple projects concurrently Ability to identify risks to project completion before they occur and developing mitigation strategies Strong computer skills; comfortable using PCs and actuarial software. Proficient with MS Office components (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook). Expert user of Retirement Studio and / or another pension actuarial valuation system  a plus Understanding the retirement business actuarial processes and how the software being developed integrates into that process. Ability to learn new pension calculation methodologies / pension regulations independently. Programming aptitude (able to follow basic code or pseudo code). Actual programming experience in a business environment a plus. Knowledge of automated testing tools, particularly Mercury QTP, a plus. BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Computer Science preferred.
