We are currently recruiting for a unique position that offers you freedom, flexibility, and personal satisfaction.  American Modern Insurance Group, an A+ rated property and casualty insurance company based in Cincinnati, is currently seeking a Claims Adjuster to cover the Sterling Heights, Michigan territory.
This position requires a strong communicator who can make sound decisions and stay organized! The adjuster is responsible for the prompt, effective handling of property and casualty insurance claims from initial contact through resolution. The Claims Adjuster will also handle claims to conclusion, including investigation, documentation, coverage analysis, and subrogation/salvage assessment as well as completing necessary reporting requirements. Participation on Catastrophe Duty is required. Complete monthly reports and obtaining required license(s) is also a responsibility of this position. The Claims Adjuster will also complete additional tasks and special projects as requested.


One year prior business experience in a customer related field and a Bachelor's Degree is required.  Industry training/coursework/certifications are preferred (AIC, CPCU, SCLA).  A clean driving record and a valid driver's license is also required. Previous insurance and/or claims experience or construction background is preferred.

 

We are targeting candidates in St. Clair, Macomb, Wayne Country and surrounding areas.
