New position!!State Sales Manager
The State Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the existing Regional Sales Managers. This will include evaluating existing staff, hiring new staff when necessary, and developing attainable production plans that meet company objectives within the state. The Manager will have the authority to make day to day business decisions in regards to production in the various territories. In addition, they will prospect and negotiate profitable business relationships for Cypress within the state.
The ideal candidate will be in the San Antonio, Austin or DFW area but will consider others.
Key Job Duties:
· Team with senior management to set, communicate and execute profitable growth strategies.
· Identify, develop and manage new business opportunities/initiatives in desirable product segments including the B2B relationships that drive revenue.
· Direct, monitor, develop and motivate staff, ensuring that performance standards are defined and achieved.
· Evaluate the organizational structure and plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
· Minimum of 5 years increasing sales management and marketing experience with demonstrated success growing P&C insurance business at the national or regional level. Minimum of 3 years in a senior sales role.
· 4 year degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or other relevant area.
· Current Texas insurance license or MGA license.
· Property & Casualty Insurance background preferably personal lines homeowners or property insurance.
· Proven management success in situations requiring attention to detail.
· Expert organizational, communication and presentation skills
· Strong and current industry relationships as well as an excellent reputation in Texas marketplace.
· Current State Drivers License with acceptable driving record is required
· This position reports to the corporate office and works from a home office and requires frequent travel up to 75% via automobiles and planes.
