And we're looking for passionate individuals who will forge a path with us.Strategic Planning Analyst I Portland, ORBring your analytical skills to the following role:Develop and provide analytical feedback regarding solutions to business unit data Report needs through data analysis, access, extraction and interpretation and report developmentCombine your degree and experience in data analysis with the following skill sets: Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Information Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related field Minimum of 2 years experience in data analysis and report design or the equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of provider reimbursement methodologies, managed care principles, underwriting and actuarial principles is helpfulBasic understanding of all the corporate data systems including claims, customer contact, membership, pricing, provider data systems, telecom, and budget maintenanceSkills and experience using word processing and spreadsheet programsExperience with data access tools especially MS AccessExperience with workforce management and planning software such as Aspect eWorkforce or Blue Pumpkin is highly desirable (applicable only when position is within the customer service department) Experience with Activity Based Costing (ABC) data and analysis is preferredAbility to work well independently or with a team and direct the work of others in comparable positions throughout Regence claim's and/or customer service's unitsCapability to think analytically, apply analytical techniques and to provide in-depth analysis and recommendations to management using critical thinking and sound judgmentAbility to prepare complex models to report and predict Regence claims' receipts or customer call volume, staffing levels or other requested forecastsStrong problem solving skillsExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsFamiliarity with medical terminology, diagnosis and procedure coding is helpfulAbility to be creative and innovative in the application of data and information to support strategic and tactical planningResults driven attitude with the ability to meet goals and objectivesHard work and dedication is rewarded at Regence: We offer a competitive salary and a generous benefits package.For consideration, please visit our Web site at www.regence.com/careers and Apply Online to Job #16542.We are an equal opportunity employer dedicated to workforce diversity and a drug and smoke-free workplace.
