Subrogation Claims Assistant

Overview:

Supports the Subrogation Unit with various tasks relating to the set up and ongoing handling of the claim. Sorts all incoming mail, answers overflow phone calls, and maintains supplies for the staff.

Responsibilities:

• Support the existing subrogation staff for all administrative needs
• Accept and assign new subrogation files to the unit
• Order and maintain office supplies and other materials
• Ensure mail distribution is completed and update diary on a timely basis
• Assign and monitor collection agency and attorney file referrals
• Copy files and provide support documents to attorneys and collection agencies
• Manage file storage and conduct filing
• Allocate all payment recoveries received in the unit
• Enter recovery data into claims system and Excel spreadsheets for tracking unit results
• Assists with arbitration file set up

Qualifications:

• High School diploma is required, some college preferred
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Solid negotiation skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Team Player who can assist others as needed
• Solid computer skills and use with MS Office Products
