Supervisor II

Major Duties and Functions Include: Provides direct supervision over the GSI and Risk Management Operations which is an organizational component performing moderately complex analytical and technical procedural assignments. Supervise associates responsible for the set up of GSI quoting and new sold cases, including new enrollments, re-enrollments, and new hire offers. Lead a growing team of associates to achieve optimum quality and effectiveness while consistently meeting time service goals and objectives; exercise the ability to review requests and make timely, practical, and customer friendly decisions. Will be responsible for conducting operational audits and quality reviews and integrate these results into Performance Management expectations and individual outcomes. Act as a subject matter expert for other GSI associates, cross functional department members, and the sales force within each distribution channel. Supervisor must seek out new initiatives and successfully implement those which will improve overall work processes and increase customer satisfaction. Effectively build relationships both internally and externally with associates, customers, and business partners to achieve objectives and exceed customer expectations. Must demonstrate the ability to present timely metrics and their outcome as it pertains to business objectives and goals. This position requires the supervisor to take a visible leadership role in translating MetLife's and IDI's vision into practical business strategies that can be integrated into the daily activities and projects of the team. What You Need to Succeed: Applicant must have highly developed computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Must possess above average organizational skills coupled with the ability to work independently. Handle multiple priorities effectively while consistently using a proactive approach. Ability to establish and follow project timelines/service commitments. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to conduct professional educational seminars and/or presentations to potential clients. Prior leadership experience preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of two years' experience with the overall Guaranteed Standard Issue operation is required. Work shouldn’t be something you do just to make ends meet.
