Technical PMP Certified Project Manager with Web Content

 

N-Tier Solutions is presently recruiting for a PMP certified Project Manager with one of our direct clients, a Fortune 25 Insurance Company in Jersey City, NJ.

The Project Manager will be responsible for scoping, planning, leading, and managing multiple medium size projects simultaneously. He/She will work closely with the Business team to define and document the scope for various projects. Following that, the Project Manager will work with various onshore and offshore technical leads to create a detailed project plan with task breakdown and time estimates.

The position requires knowledge of project management methodologies, ability to effectively use MS Project to create project plans, and ability to interact confidently with the business and technical teams to negotiate scope and time estimates.

The position will focus heavily on planning and managing projects related to delivering inter/intranet websites using a content management system platform.

The Project Manager reports to the Program Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with the Business team to identify scope of the projects and guide and mentor the Business Systems Analysts to solicit requirements and document requirements.
• Work with the Middleware, Quality Assurance and Development groups to estimate effort and document detailed WBS.
• Conduct regular status meetings and deliver detailed weekly status reports to the management.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure that the project deliverables are completed in time and within budget.
• Proactively identify issues, manage scope creep, and provide input as a subject matter expert.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Candidate should possess strong written and oral communication skills and should be driven by customer satisfaction
• Strong familiarity with Software Development Methodologies including SDLC, RUP, Agile. Knowledge of QA processes, and Change Management tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Strong project management skills and knowledge of MS Project required. Outstanding time management and organization skills.


PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates MUST have 5+ years experience in managing /delivering large scale projects/programs, ideally including the following:

• Managing two to three medium size projects simultaneously.
• Using project management methodology (processes, best practices, tools, and templates)

Prior experience with web-related tool/product and/or vendor selection

Prior Business Process Re-engineering experience

• Leading/facilitating meetings and team activities
• Supervising the work of onsite and remote offshore teams.
• All phases of project cycle with interfacing both with technical teams as well as multiple lines of business users
