Allstate was founded in 1931 and became a publicly traded company in 1993.Ivantage Select Agency (ISA) is an independent agency within the Allstate Corporation that makes insurance solutions available to Allstate Exclusive Agents (EAs) that are not otherwise offered by Allstate.  ISA manages approximately 100,000 active policies across 25+ insurance carriers. ISA is looking to establish a technology infrastructure to support the growing ISA business. Initially, that technology infrastructure will be focused on addressing short-term, operational needs to help to better manage the existing policies.  Longer term, the technology infrastructure will be extended to support ISA’s future growth opportunities. To design, develop and support the technology infrastructure, ISA is seeking to hire a technology professional position.Candidates for the position should have a proven track record of learning and applying contemporary application, database, and reporting technologies.  Specific technologies may change over time, but examples include .NET, Java, MS SQLServer, Oracle, Business Objects/Crystal Reports, TIBCO and Microsoft Access.  They should also have a proven track record of identifying business needs, documenting business requirements, and designing solutions for those requirements.  Previous experience with MGA and/or agency management systems is strongly desired. Candidates will have the following experience: 3-5 years application development 2-3 years relational database design and development 1-2 years report development 2-3 years requirements definition and analysis.Interpersonal Strong faculty for understanding and translating business problems into effective technology solutions Highly motivated professional with proven ability to lead multiple large projects under pressure and deliver results Dependable and levelheaded Develop or streamline processes and procedures to reduce operating costs Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting Demonstrate leadership skills Exhibit strong work ethics Solid oral and written communications skills Excellent presentation skills Sound time management skills
