Chubb currently has an exciting opportunity for an Underwriter in the Cincinnati, OH branch.

This underwriter will be part of a Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) department based in the Cincinnati, Ohio Branch. The underwriter will help achieve department goals of profit, rate and growth. This position focuses on P&C business only. The underwriter is also responsible for building relationships with producers, negotiating price, developing prospects, managing profitability, retention, and new business goals, as well as creating business plans for assigned territory. The candidate must be able to work effectively within a team environment consisting of a DFI Practice Leader, another DFI underwriter, two Underwriting Associates, in addition to claims examiners and loss control representatives. The underwriter will manage a $6 million book of business.

Job Requirements:
Requires a minimum of 3 years of commercial lines underwriting experience and excellent sales skills. Requires the ability to manage a diverse book of business that is focused around the DFI appetite.

Candidate should be familiar with developing marketing plans and handling complex accounts.

Must have strong negotiation, communication and time management skills.
