Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

 Position Summary:

The (Part-Time 20-25 hours per week) Underwriting Clerk will be responsible for assisting the members of the Department in the handling and administration of submissions, new business, renewals and endorsements.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

§ Input data on all submissions into database and provide reports to applicable underwriter.

§ Copy and distribute policies upon request.

§ Follow up on all outstanding information listed in binder letters.

§ Input data as requested by underwriter in the database.

§ Preparation of Renewal list with required information from Insured Master.

§ Request renewal information from brokers, suspense for receipt and refer to underwriter if not received within the prescribed time period.

§ Prepare and distribute loss information.

§ Correspond with brokers as required.

§ Manage files; send to storage.

§ Issue select policy endorsements.

§ Route telephone and written communications.

§ Sort and/or file paperwork as assigned.

§ Other duties as assigned.

 

Experience and Educational Requirements:

§ High School Diploma or equivalent

§ Minimum 2 years experience in an office environment, insurance industry preferred.
