The Utah and New Mexico Sales Manager and will be expected to achieve or exceed revenue production goals by product segment (personal insurance and business insurance) through optimizing planned results for entire complex, specialized, highly critical work processes, projects, product launches and deliverables. This role is also jointly accountable for sales team performance, resource allocation, customer service, quality and expense management to optimize planned business results. This positions calls for an active and engaged leader that will motivate and serve as a resource to a team of highly talented Sales Professionals. This leader will also support his or her team in the development and maintaining relationships that establish Safeco as the 'carrier of choice' with our strategic agency partners. This role also has the responsibility for developing strong strategic consultation skills of the Sales team to drive agency growth strategies as well as Safeco's position within the market. Serve as the team champion by focusing on high impact coaching activities that inspire and empower team to position Safeco as the premiere carrier thus solidifying long-term partnerships This position requires daily local travel within the state, overnight travel will be approximately 40% per month. Qualifications: * 7 years' sales or service within the insurance industry, required * 2 years management experience, required * Experience managing virtual team, a plus * Track record of developing strong performers * Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of agency operation * Ability to solve problems and make decisions through identifying, evaluating, formulating and implementing actions with a win-win mindset *Demonstrated ability to understand and persuasively explain a broad portfolio of products * Strong organizational and time management skills in order to plan, manage and follow through on priorities * Effective and thorough verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain peer and business relationships To Apply for this position, please CLICK HERE
