Position Summary:

Accountable for the effective management and profitable growth of the organization.  Aligns enterprise strategies to leverage efficiencies and to streamline operations.  Supports the Presidents in the development and realization of overall company objectives.

 

Position Purpose:

Overall responsible for the Company's financial accounting and operational systems and for establishing the associated processes for financial monitoring and internal controls to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the Company's financial and operational records.

 

Additional responsibilities include: Manage the forecasting process (Budget, Estimate); Lead the development of financial business plans, annual operating plans and strategies; Monitor actual business results, providing analysis of actual performance against key objectives.

 

Key Functions:Provide strategic direction and allocate enterprise resources to ensure the current and long range profitability and growth of the company.Directs, administers and coordinates the activities of the office in accordance with the objectives, plans and policies established by senior leadership to work towards achievement of company goals.Attends to and resolves major operational breakdowns that encompass multiple functions and disciplines.  Ensures cross functional operations performance in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.  Responsible for developing and maintaining company-wide budgeting, financial planning, accounting and reporting policies and practices, resolving accounting issues and reporting issues.Recommends benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments.Key HR liaison between the field office and the home office with new hire process.

Qualifications:8+ years of related experience, with 2 years of public accounting preferredPrevious management experience requiredFinancial services industry experience required, insurance preferredIn-depth understanding and the ability to apply company culture, goals, philosophy and values into daily activitiesAbility to build and maintain relationships and mentor othersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent presentation skillsExcellent budget and planning skillsDemonstrated leadership ability to guide, influence, develop and motivate othersThoroughness, enthusiasm, committed to excellence, quick to act, flexible, transparency.Encourages teamwork within all areas of the company.Strong listening skillsExcellent follow up skills

Education:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experienceCPA highly desirable Preferred: MBA or MS in Accounting or Finance
