Vice President, Claims - Latin America

Our client is a medium-sized reinsurer with worldwide operations. They operate in over 120 countries, developing value added, innovative and made to measure products and services and making long-term commitments to their clients, namely insurers and large corporations. They currently offer an opportunity to join their company in an executive role responsible for the oversight of Latin America claims. The position is responsible for managing a portfolio of insurance and reinsurance claims providing technical guidance and leadership to the claims staff in several offices in Latin America.

Vice President of Claims responsibilities:

Recommend and prepare strategic and tactical plans to produce the best outcome for claims arising out of Latin America portfolio.

Conduct or manage investigation and handling of claims from cedent.

Provide technical guidance to claims analysts.

Conduct claim reviews/audits of cedent's.

Vice President of Claims qualifications:

BA/BS degree required.

Ten (10) years or more of reinsurance claims experience. At least five (5) years in a leadership role.

Ability to travel to Latin America.

Fluent in both English & Spanish.

Technical expertise in managing and evaluating large, complex claims.

Demonstrated strong financial, research and analytical skills.
