With our strong capital base, financial stability, diversified earnings stream and multinational operating platform, we offer an excellent opportunity for your future growth and development.Details of this great opportunity follow:Responsibilities Summary:General Summary: Responsible for management of Corporate Tax Unit within this global property and casualty insurance company.Specific Responsibilities:Directs preparation, review and filing of U.S. corporate consolidated tax returns and related compliance activities for the multiple companies (approximate annual tax liabilities of $100 million+) within the global organization. Establishes and monitors appropriate processes, procedures, systems, controls and documentation to ensure corporate tax law requirements are met. Coordinates preparation efforts with other Units within and outside Tax Department.Directs preparation and review of quarterly and annual consolidated tax provisions and related tax accounting activities for the companies. Establishes and monitors appropriate processes, procedures, systems, controls and documentation to ensure accuracy of financial statement tax provisions, disclosures and supporting analyses. Manages external audit relationship with external auditing firm on tax matters. Directs development of all process documentation and related internal control documentation & testing to meet Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for the tax function.Directs global transfer pricing process including development of transfer pricing policies, communication of tax law requirements for arms length dealing, documentation of related party transactions and related analyses of proposed and completed transactions for compliance with internal policies and tax law requirements.Assists in management of IRS audit function. Participates in development of audit strategies, identification of potential issues, administration of audit activities and resolution of issues, appeals and/or litigation.Manages department systems requirements including overall systems strategy, identification and evaluation of compliance and accounting software platforms, and interfaces with corporate financial systems. Participates in broad variety of tax planning initiatives including structuring of transactions, mergers & acquisitions, evaluation of proposed legislation and management of tax audits, appeals and litigationQualifications:Minimum of 10 years experience in corporate taxation with a Corporate Tax Department or Major Accounting firm; significant international tax and/or insurance tax experience desiredBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or EconomicsCPA and/or advanced degree (MS in Taxation or Law degree)ACE Limited (NYSE: ACE), the Bermuda-based holding company of the ACE Group of Companies, is one of the worlds leading insurance and reinsurance organizations, with 2006 gross premiums written of $17.4 billion and net premiums written of $12.0 billion.
