Worker's Compensation Administrator

Assist Claims Manager with worker's compensation claims management, focusing on reduction of lost time days and medical cost containment. Works closely with Safety Director to reduce frequency and severity. Identifies potentially large exposure cases/questionable cases and monitors reserves. Monitors lost time worker's compensation claims and assists with early return to work (light duty). Insures adherence to Return to Work Program. Analyzes insurance carrier's claims handling and investigation, monitors adherence to Bon Ton Special Service Instructions to insure they are providing information to stores and our attorneys on a timely basis. Well-developed knowledge of Worker's Compensation laws and regulations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Competent problem solving and decision making skills. Effective negotiation skills. Ability to work independently. Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft Office programs and claims management systems.
