Accounts Receivable Staff Accountant

This position will report directly to the Controller and will be a key member of a small but cohesive team. Primary responsibilities include managing the accounts receivable (billing and collection) process as well as providing support for the month-end close process.

ResponsibilitiesSupport the month-end close process, prepare accrual journal entries, book revenue and reserve journal entries, produce account reconciliations and revenue/deferred revenue roll-forward schedules.Prepare customer invoices and enter receivables into the accounting system.Work closely with the advertising sales group to ensure campaign accounting and billing is accurate and complete.Analyze AR aging reports, actively follow-up on collections, and research outstanding accounts.Support the Controller and prepare ad-hoc analysis.Prepare audit schedules and provide analysis for the external auditors.Provide back-up support for accounts payable responsibilities. 

Qualifications2 - 4 years relevant work experience in accounts receivable processing and general accounting.Experience working with billing advertising campaigns a plus.Proficiency in MS Word and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.Working knowledge of Oracle a plus.Comfortable in start-up, fast-paced environment.Highly organized and detail oriented.Atypically focused on visual presentation of reporting.Excellent oral and written skills required.
