OverviewThe Advertising Account Executive reports directly to the VP Advertising and is responsible for identifying, developing and growing accounts in an assigned market, and for consistently meeting or exceeding sales objectives.

 

Responsibilities

  Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets. Establish personal “business plan” outlining annual and long-term goals and the required initiatives and activities to achieve them. Develop a comprehensive and deep understanding of the SnagAJob.com site and the advertising products offered. Research, purify and prioritize sales targets. Collect relevant information about prospective client and their potential needs. Develop and maintain a sales funnel of opportunities that will yield expected results. Cultivate and sustain positive business relationships with media planners and buyers at ad agencies and with direct marketers. Provide exceptional service to clients and increase existing advertising, and minimize decreases and cancellations. Schedule, organize, and prioritize work to meet both client and company goals. Maintain the sales database (Net Suite) in a timely, complete and accurate manner recording all sales activities. Analyze advertising performance data and work closely with Advertising Operations in identifying strategies for improving campaign performance. Maintain current knowledge of the online advertising landscape and trends.

 

Qualifications 3+ years of proven internet advertising sales experience. Established contacts and relationships with clients in relevant, major market categories Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas. Superior knowledge of consultative sales techniques including cold calling, networking, discovering needs, overcoming objections - all with the ability to capture and close the deal. Outstanding relationship building and communication skills. Innovative problem solver who works independently, as well as part of a team. Exceptionally strong organization and time management skills. Naturally resilient with ability to handle rejection and stay the course. A positive can-do attitude and self-starter. Highly professional demeanor with engaging personality. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. Travel required.
