The Commercial Video Services team is chartered with developing technologies that facilitate and accelerate the continued explosion of web video. The ra/ve Application Program Manager is responsible for building prototypical services around ra/ve components, working to ensure the design and implementation of the ra/ve software is sufficiently rich and robust. The candidate will provide connective tissue between the development, program management, testing and implementation teams, writing code, reviewing specifications, and providing feedback directly to each of the teams. The candidate will be responsible for bringing the perspective of real-world implementations to system design, providing suggestions, conducting research and writing specifications, as required. The candidate will also be responsible for implementing various tools that support the ra/ve initiative, e.g. shell scripts, example source code, backend administration tools. The candidate will be involved in development discussions, customer calls, and meetings with other internal teams.Essential Functions:1. Develop and update various implementations of ra/ve web sites and tools 40% of Time2. Research backend integration issues and write specifications 20% of Time3. Review specifications and designs 20% of Time4. Provide technical assistance and education to internal support teams 10% of Time5.
