As Assistant Publisher you will assist in managing email products, including Newsflash and the Top 20 Newsletter™ as a member of the Publisher’s desk. They work with internal Travelzoo teams to determine how to best leverage Travelzoo’s publications to strategically deliver fresh and exciting content to our subscribers. Most importantly this team is responsible for selecting travel deals, which are read by millions of enthusiastic subscribers.
Responsibilities will include:
- Understand the balance of needs between clients and our subscribers
- Build an understanding for the travel market while assessing campaigns for airlines, hotel/hotel management companies, cruise lines, vacation packagers, tourism boards, travel agencies, car rental companies, and more
- Research, develop and source outstanding travel deals
- Create compelling headlines and write copy explaining the details for each outstanding deal
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Interest in online content and travel deals
- Up to 4 years of professional experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong project management, problem solving and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree required
