Business Development Manager

Business Development Manager The mission of Corporate Development is to identify markets, services and technologies that further the company's strategic objectives, and then evaluate structure, negotiate and close relevant acquisitions and investments or launch new internal project initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Development, the Business Development manager will play an important role in the company's development of strategic partnerships and new project initiatives. The Business Development Manager will be involved in identifying prospective target and market opportunities, performing strategic and quantitative analysis, determining appropriate valuation and structure, developing strategy for and conducting negotiations, driving activities to closure, and coordinating with other business units. On a typical transaction, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the transaction and will carry out tasks by managing a cross-functional team involving persons from our Business Units and Finance, Legal, Human Resources, MIS, Product Management and Product Development teams. The Business Development Manager will also be responsible for business development activities including defining new strategic opportunities and developing partnerships with companies that will increase Go Daddy's product reach or create additional revenue opportunities.Qualifications: Any candidate for the position must have a BA or BS undergraduate degree and three plus years Business or Corporate Development experience. Strong written and oral presentation and communication skills required. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels including with top Corporate Executives. A demonstrated track record of achievement is a must. Some of a candidate's experience may be drawn from advisory positions in investment banking, venture capital, legal or consulting firms. Significant work experience in a corporate (as opposed to professional services) environment is highly desired. Strong skills in strategic and quantitative analysis, project management, negotiation, communication and leadership are essential. Must also have demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, manage teams and supervise outside professionals. Firm grasp of with Internet/e-commerce companies is a must.
