Business Systems Analyst III

Job Description · Design and deploy leading Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions in support of the VeriSign Business Intelligence strategy.· Lead solution design on medium to large Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing projects with varying degrees of complexity.· Analyze Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing requirements for BI-DW projects and business processes.· Translate functional requirements into technical specifications for design of Data Marts/Data warehouses and Informatica Power Center mappings.· Design industry-leading BI solutions using optimal BI-DW technology.· Actively help in definition and implementation of the BI roadmap and strategy (technology and process)· Conduct analysis of business processes and requirements and identify technology enabled improvements.· Assist in development of user training plan for the deployment of the system.· Interface with customers to identify key questions relating to business needs, information priorities, and how the information will be utilized.· Keep current with the latest trends of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing techniques and practices. Develop new ideas for Enterprise Reporting strategies.· Ongoing support and maintenance of BI functional solutions & reporting at VeriSign. Requirements · Overall 8-12 years of industry experience in Business Intelligence & Data Warehousing, preferably in a high tech company, with focus on Business Analysis and user support experience.· At least 5 years of technical experience in the Data Warehousing, with at least 3 years in depth BI experience using Hyperion BI (Interactive Reporting), OBIEE (Siebel Analytics) and/or Hyperion EssBase.· Experience in project implementations of BI solutions using Hyperion BI Tools (Interactive Reporting), OBIEE (Siebel Analytics) and/or Hyperion EssBase. Should be knowledgeable with business processes in Sales & Marketing, Finance, Order Management, Customer Service and Operations.· Strong data modeling skills and excellent knowledge of Star Schema design.· Excellent project management skills, functional & business process definition, resource and timeline management, risk assessment, contingency planning and ability to work with external contractors and consultants.· Responsive to customer needs and highly motivated to improve the skills and capabilities of his/her organization.· A team player outlook with the ability to work well with peers.· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business.
